How to import manually
- In Frequency Tracker, go to the Import panel (or Settings, depending on where you're importing from).
- Choose Import CSV.
- Select your file.
- Frequency Tracker will process it the same way it processes an auto-imported file — building trades, checking for duplicates, and grouping copied trades across accounts.
Where to get a CSV to import
The most reliable source is a file generated by the Frequency Tracker Exporter addon itself — even if you're not using it for live auto-import, you can still use it to manually export a CSV on demand from its control panel.
A word of caution on exporting directly from NinjaTrader's own built-in grid/export tools: these can produce CSVs with a different internal format (for example, commission values formatted with a dollar sign, or account/ID fields structured differently) that may not import correctly. If you have a file that isn't importing and you're not sure why, check how it was generated first.
Migrating from Tradervue
If you're moving your trade history over from Tradervue, there's a dedicated import option under Settings for that specific format — see the Tradervue-formatted CSV export from your Tradervue account and use that importer rather than the general CSV import.
